The Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) has officially released the notification for the Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 for admission into B.Tech programmes in various engineering colleges of Assam for the academic session 2026–2027.
Candidates seeking admission to engineering colleges in the state will have to appear in the Assam CEE 2026 entrance examination conducted by ASTU.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Minimum Marks:
General Category: 45% aggregate in PCM
SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: 40% aggregate in PCM
Residency:
Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Age Limit:
Minimum Age: 17 years
Maximum Age: 21 years (Relaxation available for reserved categories as per rules).
Exam Pattern:
The examination will consist of 120 multiple choice questions.
Subjects:
Mathematics – 40 questions
Physics – 40 questions
Chemistry – 40 questions
Total Questions: 120
Duration: 3 Hours
Marking Scheme:
+4 marks for each correct answer
-1 mark for each incorrect answer

Counselling Process
After declaration of the results, qualified candidates will participate in the centralized counselling process conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam.
